Pink peony favor candles in gift boxes by Moonlight

How to Choose the Perfect Wedding Favor Candles

Your wedding favors are the last impression your guests take home. Long after the music fades, a beautiful candle on their shelf will bring the day right back. Here is how we help our couples choose favors they truly love.

1. Start with your theme

Your favors should feel like part of the wedding, not an afterthought. Romantic garden wedding? Peony candles in soft blush and ivory are a natural fit. Modern and minimal? Bubble candles in clean whites and neutrals. Share your colors with us and we will match them.

2. Scented or unscented

This is the question we get most. If candles will sit on dinner tables, we usually suggest unscented so nothing competes with the meal. If they are purely a take-home gift, a soft scent like peony or vanilla makes the favor feel extra special.

3. Get the size right

Favor candles should be small enough to gift easily and pretty enough to display. Our favor candles come in tins and delicate shapes that look lovely grouped on a table and are easy for guests to carry home.

4. Make it personal

A custom tag with your names and wedding date turns a pretty candle into a keepsake. Every Moonlight favor order comes with a free custom tag, designed around your theme.

5. Order ahead of time

Our candles are handmade to order, so give yourself room. We suggest ordering 4 to 6 weeks before the wedding. That leaves time for making, personalizing, and delivery without any last-minute stress.

6. Count generously

Order for your full guest count, then add about ten percent extra. You will want a few for family, your photographer flatlays, and the inevitable plus ones.

7. Set a comfortable budget

Beautiful does not have to mean expensive. Our favor candles start from $5 each, and we will happily work within your budget to find the right design and quantity.

Planning your wedding favors? We would love to help. Send us a message with your date, colors, and guest count, and we will put together options for you.
